OUR PROGRAMS

Higher Ground Academic Academy is committed to helping each child attain their developmental and educational objectives.

For the complete development of each child that attends our facility; HGAA follows the A Beka curriculum. This curriculum is designed to help children develop physically and mentally, spiritually, and socially. Each lesson provides guidance and activities appropriate to the child's stage of development that provide language, reading, writing, and math skills and phonological awareness.

Each classroom level within our school is created for the various learning stages children go through during the early development stages. For many, the way a child develops at 16 months is different from their development at 3 years old. At HGAA, we embrace this fact and teach your child on the level they should be learning on as we prepare them for their future educational journey. Take a look at our classroom levels and find the one that's perfect for your growing child!

NUTRITION

At HGAA, we know that good nutrition contributes to effective learning in children. Numerous studies have demonstrated that eating healthy snacks regularly will boost your child's ability to learn, to think quickly, to pay attention and even to get along with others. With that in mind, a nutritious, well-balanced breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack is planned for the children at Higher Ground Child Development Center. Menus are posted monthly and a daily schedule of meal times is available. Children should not bring food to the Center without permission; please have your child present at those times.  If your child is not present at the scheduled meal times, please prepare him/her a meal before they arrive at the Center.

The Center will not make substitutions on food items that your child does not like to eat.

Substitutions will only be made with a written statement from a physician on the physician’s letterhead.

When bringing snack items for parties and special events, remember healthy treats are the best.  No home baked goods are allowed. For a copy of our nutrition schedule, please click here.
