We know you could enroll your children anywhere, but you gave us the opportunity to teach them, so we appreciate you. Our website will give you an opportunity to navigate through our activities, polices, and curriculum.
At Higher Ground Academic Academy (HGAA), our main goal is to support children through the best in early childhood education so that they may develop to their highest potential in physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual growth. Our focus is to ensure that during the early developmental stages of a child’s life, they are being nurtured and challenged at the level in which they need to receive. We believe that each child is a child of God and should have every opportunity to develop spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally and socially in a Christian environment which exhibits love and concern.

Our approach to learning is based on well documented research in the field of Early Childhood Development that indicates that learning happens best for children when they are given the opportunity to actively explore their environment through learning centers, where there is a balance between teacher-directed and child-directed activities, and when instructional strategies are used that meet each individual child’s stage of development.
At HGAA, we also strive to support the family and to help parents in the crucial years of child rearing and to provide an outreach and witness to the community of the highest qualities of Christian faith, love and social justice.

MATTERS
Nothing is more important to Higher Ground Academics Academy than the health and safety of students and staff. HGAA has put a safety process in place to support school administrators, and teachers responsible for our students and the safe reopening of our facility.
To protect students and teachers during the pandemic, HGAA has enhanced our safety procedures based on CDC recommendations, local guidelines, and advice from public health experts during this uncertain period. Safety procedures include increased cleaning, social distancing, prevention, and Health and Safety requirements, among other capabilities designed to promote social distancing and eliminate the spread of COVID-19.
